I have found that people either love or hate night photography. I personally like this picture because of the beautiful, deep blue night sky. In addition, the way the photo was lighted isloates the driftwood bush and the sand dune it is on, creating a simple uncluttered scene.
The picture was taken by placing the camera on a tripod, using the self time, then manually lighting the scene from a position just a little left of the camera. The image was captured on a cold winter morning on the Outer Banks. The location was Hatteras Island.
